With a line capacity of 300 m for PE 2.0 lines and 200 m for PE 3.0 lines, the Plays 600 is a model for light game fishing. However, being an electric reel for light game, the power and speed of the 600 model is comparable to the higher end electric reel models Shimano has to offer.

A smoother and stronger drag is achieved with Carbon Cloth Washer and the newly added function Instant Stop allows the angler to instantly stop retrieving with just a press of a button.

The Shimano Plays 4000 is also equipped with Magnetic Control System, that reduces backlash by utilizing the magnetic field generated by the high RPM spinning of the spool during descent.
