MAJOR CRAFT NEW CROSTAGE MAGOCHI TENYA
Magochi Tenya, or Hitotsu Tenya has been a very popular fishing technique in recent years. This fishing style is based on rigging a soft silicone, or fresh lure to a heavy jig head. There is nothing new to the Tenya fishing style which targets prey lurking in the bottom. Lift and let your jig fall again and you are getting instant hits.
The Hitotsu Tenya is combined with a jig head that resembles a Free Slide Tenya. It sinks quickly to the bottom and allows the rig to follow, at a slow pace. The main benefit of the Hotitsu Tenya is that it allows you to be in direct contact with your bail. The most popular bait in the Mediterranean is live shrimp, but feel free to experiment with fresh squid tentacles, or silicone skirts. The falling motion of the skirt provides no discomfort to the prey, since the head sinks first and then the skirt follows. It appears natural and lures even weary fish.
The Crostage Magochi Tenya rods, are dedicated models to this technique, equipped with a delicate, solid tip that detect even the slightest bites. The tip is extremely flexible, nevertheless it encompasses the necessary strength for instant hooking.
A sharp, blank design with adequate strength to bring to the surface hard fighting fish completes the picture of this Crostage rod series. The biggest feature of these rods is that you can easily see and feel the jaws of your prey caught at the end of the line. The S742M / Kochi is the very almighty, while the S702MH / Kochi is a model for experts as it comes with a delicate tip and a hard butt.
In general, the Tenya fishing styles, should be combined with fine equipment. In particular the Crostage Magochi rods perform better when you select a 0.12 to 0.15 mm braid and a fluorocarbon leader line around 0.28 mm.
